HOA IMPORTANT UPDATES

The Metropolitan Water District has a water conservation program that will pay landowners a cash rebate to remove turf grass and replace it with waterwise landscaping. Our HOA recently qualified for a rebate to remove ~30,000 square feet of turf grass in the area between Fulton Road and the sidewalk loop. With the rebate covering almost all of the cost, the HOA can afford a major renovation of that area of the park. 

We "break ground" on the project on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The first step is to treat the turf grass with herbicide so it can be removed and not come back. The herbicide is "Ranger Pro." The landscaper will apply the herbicide on Thursday, August 6, 2026. For safety, the manufacturer recommends keeping children and pets out of the treated area while it is being applied and until it is dry. So, we need to close the park on Thursday, August 6, 2026 and the following Friday.
